I am a visual artist and designer with a degree in studio art from the University of Maryland, with a concentration in painting. I've also studied at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore and Maryland College of Art and Design. However, those academic days are well in the previous century. With over ten years of professional design experience, I've narrowed my expertise to web, print and identity design. I don't claim to be your one-stop PR shop, although I conspire with my associates of programmers and creative and technical writers to fulfill as much of your marketing dream as possible. I don't claim to be a technical guru who can make your website rotate, animate, flash, spin, whistle or yodel.
What I do know is design and what makes a message work. I know balance, aesthetics, harmony. What makes something pleasing to the eye and what will elicit a positive response. How to convey a mood through a typeface or a message through an image. I work with your existing web development team or sales and marketing force to develop the graphic message you want to convey. I put your visions down on paper or screen. My mission is to provide you the highest quality design in the most appropriate way to convey your message. I give you choices. I listen to your mission and provide you with a visual solution. I am adaptive to your wants and needs. No prima-donna designers here. My main concern is to clearly, accurately convey your message to your target audience. Smart over high-art. Substance over flash.
